Well, my site has been down. Gah! Pisses me off. The girl I buy hosting from has decided she’s not going to host anymore, but she’s going to maintain the current people untill thier hosting plan runs out. I guess “maintain” means she’ll jsut be extremely lazy about it. I still haven’t gotten an answer to my helpdesk request.
I went and saw dad and the grandparents this weekend. Dad seemed really happy to see me. I got some good steak and cupcakes. I’ll prolly go see them sometime in the next few weeks. Grama seems to be doing alright, but it’s her dominat arm that go hurt so she’s having a little trouble with some things. I’m going home for Kelse’s bithday party on the 4th. I don’t have any classes on Thurs, so I may come home even earlier.
My fishtank broke the other day. The bottom started to leak from the seals. So I had to make an emergency run to Wal-Mart at 10pm, get a new one and put everything from the old tank in a bucket. I let the new tank sit overnight to see if it would leak. Next morning I put everything back in. It seems to be doing well. It seems so much brighter than the old tank. I’m thinking I’ll just throw away the old tank (Unless Rob’s mom wants it back, it is hers). I re-sealed it when I got it and I don’t feel like doing that again.
Things seem to be doing alright here. Classes are going well.
Happy Birthday Kelse!!
Well, this October has been pretty nasty and it isn’t even over yet.
Rob’s family’s property sustained some damage from hurricane Wilma. Parts of their roofs apparently, and they have no power. So, Rob is trying to figure out if he’s going home this weekend or not. He doesn’t want to get in the way, but he also wants to help.
This weekend me and Dad are going to help grama and grandpa with putting plastic over the orchids. Since grama’s shoulder/arm are injured she can’t help. I’ve got a box of stuff for dad to take home with him. Mainly stuff for Kelse (and if she doesn’t want it, then Salvation army.)
And today we were served with a 7 day cure notice that our apartment is “cluttered and unlcean.” Rob and the guys just went down to talk to them. Apparently it’s just the common area. And we have 7 days to clean it to whatever thier standards are. It’s been that way for about 2 years without anyone having a problem with it. Oh well, I’ll just get Rob to clean up his stuff. That’s the main clutter. And my/his sewing area. I’m cleaning that up.
We have a lot of stuff we need to sell. Anime items, clothes, fabric, etc. I wish they’d have like a monthly garage sale in the apartment complex. That would be really cool.
But, the best thing right now is the weather. It’s soooo nice! Cold and crisp and refreshing. I just want to light a fire and sip coco. Maybe make some smores. Maybe we’ll set fire to the leasing office.
Grama is doing better. I talked to her yesterday. She seemed in good spirits. She’ll prolly be going home today. Apparently the guy that almost hit her just took off. There were witnesses but she’s doubtful anyone got a plate number because he was going so fast. Damned drivers!
Me and Rob had a long day yesterday. It started around 2 when he did the Naruto photoshoot. It actually didn’t start till around 3:30. Cosplayers are always late. It’s just how they are - movies, conventions or photoshoots, they’re usually 1/2 hour to an hour late. Anyway, the photoshoot went well. Rob got a lot of pictures and the cosplayers seemed to be having fun. The heat was nasty though. It’s the hottest day we’ve had in a week or two. After that was done I came home showered and changed and grabbed some food for Rob. Then I went back to the party. Rob got to take pictures with some professional photography equipment. He asked me if he should use his camera or the fancy one: I said the fancy one so that he’d get some practice using it. It went pretty well. The only bothersome thing was the memory cards for the camera were small and would fill up quickly. Around 9:30 I went home again and changed into some more comfortable clothes. I went back with a salad and soda for Rob. Around 11 they were closing things down and we went home. The end to a long day.
Oh, and I saw stinky Sam at the party. It was funny how she never made eye contact with me or looked away when I would walk by. Anyway, she was wearing an awful kimono. I hope to God she did not waste her money on that in Japan. If she did, she much more idiotic than I previously had thought.
