The week goes on…

So, the week crawls along. Yeah, it’s only Wed, but it’s still kinda boring. Work went fine on Mon and Tues. Classes are going fine as well. In a few weeks I have finals. Not looking forward to that. I got my contacts the other day, no problem. Getting paid this week but it won’t be much since I didn’t work during spring break. Just to let you know how little I’ll be paid, I already spent half of it buying some groceries yesterday.

Tomorrow I’m going to be undertaking the moving of my fish tank. I’ve been paranoid the past few weeks that it might no longer be a good idea to have the tank on the bar in the kitchen. So, I bought a tank stand last week and put it together yesterday. Rather, Rob put it together . It’s going to be a large undertaking to move the tank, but I think I should be able to do it no problem. Essentially the fish are moved to the bucket with the filter and some plants while the tank is drained and moved. Hopefully it won’t be too heavy moving it, it will only have the gravel and some plants in it. The hardest thing, to me at least, will be filling it back up without clouding the water too badly. Then you move the filter back to the tank to move the water around for a little while, while running an air rock on the bucket. Then slowly add the fish back. And ta-da! You have your fish tank moved. Pretty simple in theory, but I know I’ll make a mess.
Edit: Rob’s going to be busy till Sun. So we’ll be doing this on Sun.

I’m going to start cooking for myself a bit more. Tonight I made some teriyaki beef. I really want to make some onigiri. I bought some sushi rice (also used to make onigiri) yesterday. I forgot to buy the nori, so I have to go back and get that. I’m thinking it’ll be a good idea to go to an Asian market to get these things so I can look around at whatever else they have. But I have a feeling that I won’t get to go out for this stuff till this weekend.

Oh, and ya know what? My parents got me that lovely rice cooker but I’ve never used it. Ya know why? Cause the other girls in the apartment have too much crap everywhere and there’s no where for me to put it. Sure, I could store it in my room. But then where would I put all that food I’ve been keeping away from them? And I can’t put it in my china cabinet either, cause that’s full of food. Gosh, they complained about the previous girl taking up all the room in the kitchen that once she left, they took ALL of it back. I feel a full-blown kitchen rant coming on. When I moved in Amber and her mother put all my food, dishes, and everything wherever they saw fit. So I don’t know where some of my stuff is. How pathetic is that? I don’t know if this food or that is actually mine, cause it got mixed in with their food. I have a feeling that when I move out, Amber is going to conveniently get to keep some of my stuff because I accidentally left it here, no knowing it was mine. Amber is going to be in the Mallory Haters Club before I leave this apartment, I just know it.

Nothing much

Nothing much is what’s going on. Rob’s at Chess Match practice today, so I’m just kinda being lazy around the apartment. I added a favicon to the website. It’s the little picture that should show up next to the URL in the address bar in the browser. Tell me what ya think. I may work on it a bit more, but I like it simple like that.

Work is getting better. I’m actually doing something. Still have a few things to figure out, like how to get Dreamweaver to unlock code and how to talk to the ASP guy about what the Project Manager wants. I’m just not good with interpersonal stuff. This last Friday was the open house for the building. I got to see what the other areas of the building were doing, as well as what my part of the building was doing. They had wanted me and Tsuwei to hang out and talk to people about our team, but we haven’t been there long and don’t really know what’s what. So, I spent the day sort of farting around on the Internet. Rob came by and we wasted a little time walking around. I made him leave because it felt unprofessional to have him there. He got to see where I work, what I’m working on and waste some of my time and that was enough. Tsuwei had her boyfriend visit as well. And he stayed till I left. Oh well… Maybe I’m just stuck up about being professional or something.

Another thing. I’ve never really gotten along with girls in my life. What was I thinking moving in with a bunch of girls? They can no longer eat my food, I’ve labeled it all or moved it out of the kitchen. They also use some very heavy scents around the house. That damn Cilantro candle makes me want to vomit and gives me a headache. Thank goodness the days lately have been really nice and mild: I’ve opened up the sliding glass door and my window and the wind is going through the apartment nicely. But I’m about ready to employ some nice passive aggressive bitch tactics on them. I mean seriously… Girls are so dumb sometimes. Makes me sad that I share their sex. (Though I don’t think I’d like to be a male either.) At least Amber isn’t asking for any more rides to and from work anymore. She’s really starting to get on my nerves.

I watched Marie Antoinette last night. Very pretty, not much plot. Seems that’s they way they make movies these days. Going to watch Curse of the Golden Flower later today. I know it will also be very pretty, I just hope that there’s some plot in there somewhere as well.

Yeah yeah…

I’ve moved my site over to Rob’s. GoDaddy can suck my unmentionables. So right now the gallery is down. The journal will be experiencing spasms as I try to get it to work.
