So, my business cards have been sent off to some web based printing company. I should get them the 26th of this month. Hopefully they look good! I’m getting 250 of them.
They wouldn’t let you buy any fewer, but it was damn cheap so I don’t mind. I really hope they turn out good! I also re-designed my portfolio, in a similar design to my journal. I still have works that I need to add to it and I have to figure out some sort of objective statement for my resume. I’m not good at those sort of things.
Rob left for WPB yesterday. I miss him already! I couldn’t sleep last night. I read through half of my manga collection.
At the moment I’m cleaning my room and making stuff for MetroCon. I’m almost done with all the phone charms, they look pretty good! I’ve also found a pattern for 3D strawberry charms. :berry:
I’m kinda boring right now, so I’m gonna go clean stuff.
And thanks everyone for the compliments on my outfits! I didn’t make any of them though, my sewing isn’t that good yet.
I’m thinking about doing some pay-per-post or pay-per-blog stuff. It would be nice to have a little extra money, even if it’s just enough to break even with the hosting for the website. Hopefully I would be able to do it in a seamless way. Such as writing a normal entry and linking a word or two in the entry to the paid advertising. I know my site isn’t terribly well known and doesn’t have a high page rank at all, so I don’t know if I’d be making any significant amount of money. Does anyone do paid posting and have any suggestions? Any good websites they’d suggest? I looked at PayPerPost.com, and it looks all right. I’d really rather do that than a ad block somewhere on my website.
We had our housewarming party last night. We got a few housewarming gifts. Sasha got me a nice bottle of plum wine, salt and pepper shakers shaped like mushrooms and a thank you note pad. Keenan got us Goldschlager, which looks a lot cooler than it tastes. It’s got flakes of real gold in it, but tastes like cinnamon. I had a finger taste with a fleck of gold; it tasted like cinnamon gum. Other people who actually drank it said it was like atomic fireballs; that it burned worse than vodka. I just like looking at it, no picture can capture just how pretty it is. Most people brought beer and left what they didn’t drink as a housewarming gift. But the best gift we got was from Rob’s mom. She got us fruit flower bouquets. :berry: They were so yummy and a big hit with everyone at the party. We still have about half of the fruit left. It was a pretty nice party.
Just as I thought, these two weeks before school starts are nice and relaxing. I can leisurely go through the last of my boxes, organize my stuff, clean things, watch TV and play on my computer. There’s nothing I have to do, except maybe organize a few things in the kitchen. My room is coming together nicely, I’ll take some pictures later today. After all that stress of moving out and idiots, it’s so nice to be able to relax. The only stress I have on myself right now is getting the place ready for the Housewarming Party. It’s not really that much, so it should go well. The party should be a classy party instead of a crazy party. Of course by classy party I mean $3 champagne (pronounced sham-pag-un) and pizza.
I may make fondue though, that went over well at the New Years Eve Party.
But school starts the 20th! Eep! And I’m taking French 2, which I have to pass to graduate. So, I’m a little worried about that. I’m also taking Computer as Medium (or, draw on your computer), Women in Film (or, watch movies and write a one page paper) and Production Fundamentals & Aesthetics of electronic Medium (or, try not to laugh at RTV majors who don’t know what the internet is). I may drop that Production Fundamentals class, just because I don’t need it for my scholarship and I need to focus on French 2 (or, work my ass off to pass). I know I’ll do everything on my end to graduate, I cannot fail French 2. I just hope DM and UCF keep up their end. I will be absolutely insane with rage if they fail to give me my degree.
I’ve been doing a lot of things to my website lately. Mostly adding Wordpress plugins. That’s a little frustrating, because some of them decide not to work. Like Access Keys and Simple Tagging. I have no idea why they don’t want to work. WPGrins didn’t want to work at first, but then suddenly started to work. No such luck with those two. I’ve also added a text size changer, mostly for my grandpa  . It should go up large enough. Even that plugin acts oddly, if I have it as text or text and images it works fine. But if it’s just images and you click the “enlarge text” image, the text becomes so big that not even one letter fits on my screen (1680×1050).
I would really rather it be the images too. Anyway, I also added stuff to the Visitor’s section. Most of the images are from kimono and old Japanese postcards. I’m also working on some new themes. One is almost finished.
